Lacey and Butch were lovely and the perfect hosts, very kind and friendly throughout. Our room was a good size , clean and nicely decorated in a traditional style which made me feel very much at home. Fresh fruit, sweets and beverages were awaiting us together with a nice selection of books. I fell in love with their home which was full of history, very warm and cosy. Lacey told us the history behind some of the paintings and antiques which we found fascinating. Breakfast was very nice with a wide selection and option for special orders. Butch was so kind , he made us delicious packed lunches for us to take hiking too. Very good value. Highly recommended!"
"Exceptional hospitality in Butch and Lacey's beautiful home.
Everything was perfect, and the attention to detail was amazing. 10 out of 10 for cleaniness, decor, crockery and cutlery, bed linen, towels, breakfast and location (a few minutes gentle stroll to the beach) and less than a minute to the bus stop.
We really did feel like nothing would have been too much trouble during our stay, and not only that, our stay was fun. These people are lovely and have a great sense of humour which makes their hospitality even more welcoming and special."
Beautiful period b & b. Fabulous location just 5 minutes walk from the Totland bay beach. The owners were welcoming, friendly and helpful. Good sized breakfasts and spotlessly clean. I would definitely recommend staying here."
"Exceptional B & B
The tone was set upon arrival: two tired walkers greeted with a very welcome jug of grapefruit juice on a what turned out to be a day of record-breaking temperature. Butch and Lacey were exemplary hosts anticipating our every need with kindness and good humour. Even Otto the dog greeted us warmly! The room was large and well appointed, the breakfasts were delicious, and the stories and conversation very enjoyable. Truly an exceptional stay. Highly recommended."
"Amazing B & B
Whitefeld was recommended by a friend and both my wife and I were very pleased we took his advice. We stayed for three nights.
The moment we entered the house we were made to feel most welcome, no doubt helped by the offer of a sumptuous cream tea!
Along with previous guest comments, nothing is too much trouble for either Lacey or Butch who both took the time of day to stop for a chat, pass on their knowledge of the local area and things to do.
Their home is immaculate and a real credit to the hard work they have done to establish such a nice place which they share with their guests.
Again, as commented on by previous guests on numerous occasions, Butch's breakfasts are to die for and probably one of the best on Island.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and when next in that neck of the woods will certainly be back. "
